Jackie enters an art competition, hoping that a win will end her struggles to deal with the emptiness she feels in the wake of her husband's passing.
Jackie (72) had a colorful life with her husband, Joseph, until sickness and death took him away from her. As the emptiness left in his wake becomes nearly unbearable, Jackie enters an art show, hoping to fill the void. Jackie loses, and with the help of her friend, Marjorie, comes to find that the emptiness is meant to be embraced, not filled. Jackie discovers a new style of painting that embraces the empty spaces in her life.
