- Who Can Direct? Anyone
Olivia, jaded and alone, hears that Wesley, her long-thought-dead husband, was actually just a prisoner of war in a Soviet prison and has recently been freed. Instead of being excited, she is reluctant to let him back into her life claiming that he won’t love her anymore because of something she did. Olivia’s 10-year-old son Jason asks her to tell him stories about his father. She recounts how Olivia and Wesley met and got married, when Jason was born, and when Wesley disappeared. When Olivia is still unwilling to let Wesley back, it is revealed that Jason is a figment of Olivia’s imagination. Jason killed himself when he was a teenager. After remembering the incident, Olivia is convinced to forgive herself and let Jason go.
