Fresh out of jail, Eli, an avid street drag racer, struggles to balance his desire to race with his desire to be a father.
After being released from jail, Eli reconnects with his friend Marky. They intend to pick their illegal drag racing careers back up where they left off. Eli attempts to return home, where he is kicked out by his wife. Eli goes to Marky's house and celebrates a pre-mature victory with his daughter. Eli's wife refuses to let his daughter attend his drag race, but she does so in secrecy. At the drag race, the brakes of Eli's car give out, and Eli is rushed to the hospital, where he is arrested.
