When television salesman Edwin starts to question whether his life has meaning, he starts to gain the attention he always dreamed of receiving. However, when things get out of hand, he starts to question whether or not being in the limelight is really what he wants.
As Edwin goes about his day selling television sets, he notices that things aren't quite right around him. When he returns home to find that his girlfriend is leaving him and he has lost his apartment, he starts to feel more depressed about his life. Suddenly, a series of strange occurrences center around Edwin and everything seems to revolve around him. He panics, but that only leads him further into the chaos, which lands him surrounded by people that mock him. Afraid of the situation, he escapes through his television set and returns to his life, turning off the television for good.
