A successful business man has an opportunity to buy his dream house. But when he finds out the auction is held simultaneous to his daughter's recital, he is forced to choose.
Following a promotion, Richard has an opportunity to buy his dream house. After getting home late, his wife waits angrily as he's forgotten their wedding anniversary. She reminds him about their daughters' recital the next evening, which happens to be the same time as the auction for the house. She threatens divorce if he doesn't show up. What transpires is a series of attempts by Richard to make it work. He wants to go to both. But if he can't go to both, which one will he choose?
