  • Who Can Direct? Anyone

After separation from his parents during a war raid, young boy Eyal Hasen returns to his recently bombed shanty village. Upon finding that his own shanty home still stands, Eyal resolves to stay put, remembering his father’s prayer that the family would return to this home if ever separated. Eyal keeps watch at the village way till he spots a figure he believes to be his mother – he chases after the figure, leaving his shanty village behind. As he fails his search, he’s nabbed by this figure, only to discover the figure is a sassy, harmless vagabond woman named Mazine. She returns him to his shanty village, instructing him to stay put in case his family does indeed return. As she leaves, Eyal strengthens his resolve to stay put – this resolve is tested when old village friend Pree shows up, and invites Eyal to join him in his escapade to sneak into a regime camp and rescue Pree’s parents. Eyal declines, believing that the only way he’ll be reunited his parents. After Pree leaves, Eyal spends days waiting for his parents return… his hope gradually fades, until one morning, his shanty door opens and he turns to see… his family has finally come home.
