In desperation to mend a relationship, a high school cheerleader discovers something too good to be true: a genie. But unbeknownst to her, this genie does not have the wish-granting ability as she assumes.
Paige, a high school cheerleader, finds that Olivia, the new girl at school despises her. Amidst this confusion, Paige stumbles upon an old lamp that reveals Nadeem, a genie. Paige decides to use her first wish to become friends with Olivia. However, instead of granting the wish, Nadeem possesses Olivia and acts as Paige's friend. As the next school day arrives, Paige tries to set up plans with Olivia who seems to have no recollection of agreeing to be friends, but when Nadeem possess her again, they spend the day full of fun and confusion.
