On an internship that brings him back to the island he was born on, Miguel struggles with finding time to spend with his family and visit his grandfather's house where a surprise awaits for him.
After talking and asking his aunt about staying at her house while he's on an internship, Miguel struggles to start his car. Eventually, starting it. When he lands on the island he was born on, 19 years after he left for America, Miguel meets his aunt in person. Both have not seen each other since Miguel left.
Instead of spending time with his family, Miguel is occupied with his internship. Which he convinces himself that it is for a job offering on continental Portugal. Yet, no matter where on the island the internship takes him, Miguel keeps glancing off at grandparents and their grandchildren. A reminder of his dead grandparents.
When his rental car breaks down and after an exchange with his aunt, Miguel finally sees his grandparents home where a surprise, left to him by his grandfather, awaits him. Miguel must then choose what his next step will be: leave or stay?
