In order to prevent his family from selling their house, 8 year old Matthew, devises a plan to earn enough money to buy it himself.
In 1990s Atlanta 8 year old Matthew’s parents are moving. He gets the idea to sell popsicles in order to buy the house so he does not have to move away from the only friends he has ever known. Things get complicated when Matthew and his best friend Kenny have a run in with some bullies, bookstore management, and Hank Aaron himself. After not making enough money Matthew must decide what is really important, staying with family or friends.
