A mysterious driver and passenger are falling asleep on a drive, things go bad and they try to stop. Daniel Finch wakes in a hospital to the sound of the tires screeching. He receives a call from his girlfriend Lindsey Ellis, begging for his help. He leaves his room in search of her and finds her in the hospital, separated from him. A Dark Figure hunts Lindsey, and stop Daniel from getting to her first. Ina. dream trance, Daniel repeatedly dies/passes out in horrific manners at each confrontation with the Dark Figure, waking up to do it all again from the same hospital room. With each “death” Daniel gets stronger and smarter, making it farther to escaping the hospital and getting closer to Lindsey. Finally, he does escape, and upon breaking outside, he finds a dead Lindsey with the Dark Figure hanging over her. The Dark Figure reveals itself to be Daniel, prompting Daniel to kill it, effectively ending his nightmare. The sounds from the opening car crash come together to reveal Daniel and Lindsey were the ones in the car. Upon waking up, Daniel is at Lindsey’s funeral mourning her with her father, Anthony Ellis. His nightmare, representative of his guilt which pushed him to blame himself for Lindsey’s death, has ended, leaving him with the grief that she is gone. He begins his path to forgiveness as Anthony comforts him, reminding Daniel of the importance of holding loved ones close, even after death.
