Set in late 18th century Siberia, Katya Pavlishchev is tasked with watching over her family’s herd of reindeer. After the reindeer mysteriously disappear, Katya rebels against her father and ventures in the dangerous forest to find them. There she makes a deal with a mysterious witch, Baba Yaga, who promises to help Katya find her reindeer if she parts with her most prized possession. Katya makes the sacrifice, only to realize that all she needs is her father’s help in order to bring her reindeer home.
