In pre-colonial Australia a holy man named Mirri is in search of guidance. He is suddenly approached by a spirit named Killara, who tells him that doom and death approach the land. He is to help him figure out what it is so that he can warn everyone because not even he knows what it is. In their journeys they come across a village that is devoid of life. The people didn’t die from war, but from something else. Mirri feels he has failed already, but Killara encourages him to keep going and continue his mission and pursue the truth.
