In medieval Europe, young Kasha the apprentice witch will do anything to save her dying mentor, an elderly witch named Bogdana. When Bogdana goes into a coma, Kasha turns to the Black Candle, a magical tool she has never used and does not understand, knowing only that it is very powerful. Lighting the black candle summons the Bone Demon, who agrees to save Bogdana with its powerful magic if Kasha brings it human bones. Kasha has to face her fears to get the Bone Demon’s help, even if it means paying a drastic price.
