The Middle Child

When the neglected middle child is left in the mud, she seizes a theatric opportunity to discover her voice and prove her worth to her family.

In a chaotic family dynamic, the middle child often feels invisible. During a family outing, the middle child is accidentally left behind--a moment that becomes a turning point in her life. With her family oblivious to her absence, she decides to pursue the opportunity to audition for the school play, Peter Pan.
Despite her family's chaotic dynamics—her oldest sibling lost in his music, her youngest sibling demanding perfection, and her parents wrapped up in their own concerns—she shines in her audition and earns the role of Wendy. As she rehearses, the middle child begins to discover a newfound confidence.
On opening night, she peeks through the curtains to see her family arriving--just in time for her performance. As she takes the stage, her beautiful voice and shining composure not only captivate the audience, but her family as well, forcing them to see who she truly is. After the show, the middle child sits alone when her family finds her and gives her a scrapbook--showing their love and support for her has been there all along.
In the end, the middle child finds her place--not just in the spotlight but within her family, solidifying their bond and proving that sometimes the middle is the best place to be.
