- Who Can Direct? Anyone
Designed to emphasize shapes, lighting and dancing, this piece focuses on the shadow projection of a boy. A dancer girl meets the shadow and through a series of postures and positions they develop a kind of friendship. Scenes of handshakes and sword fighting with a shadow ensue. Then the girl leaves abroad. The shadow moves off of his projection wall to go in search of her. When the girl comes back she discovers that the shadow is gone. As the shadow is about to give up he finds evidence of her return. However, he is reunited with the real-life boy of whose shadow he is. The shadow tries to get away but is reattached to the boy as his shadow. Then the boy and the girl meet with love at first sight. As the boy and the girl exit the scene their shadows stay behind for a final dance sequence.
