Timothy (19) is told that his father has experienced brain death and is being kept alive by machines. Wanting to avoid this situation, he goes home to make tacos. It is at this point that a medium yellow onion speaks to him. The two bond over baseball, and Timothy becomes happier.
Eventually, the Onion experiences an existential crisis and asks to be chopped. Timothy must do what is necessary, even if it means losing both his own father and his vegetable best friend.
