Reed Matthews is blinded while attempting to free climb an infamous route by himself that his father is famous for having completed at a young age. A year later Reed returns to the same cliff with his Dad to prove that he can still climb despite being blind. While ascending the cliff however, an avalanche leaves him stranded without gear, forcing him to try free climbing the same route he was blinded on, this time without sight.
